The Magic Studio launch unveiled Canva’s new suite of AI-powered ​tools through a powerful, integrated digital launch. Our goal was to ​show Magic Studio could be a central powerhouse for all of Canva’s ​generative AI, and transform apprehension into excitement.

BRAND IDEA

Feature tiles on the Canva homepage were ​transformed into into a dynamic pack of magic cards. ​Each card represented a unique AI feature like ‘Magic ​Write’, ‘Magic Design’ and each with their own unique ​color and design.


We hoped to immerse the audience in three-​dimensional space, offering a fresh perspective of the ​Canva brand - and what’s achievable through the ​power of AI.

INSIGHT

The overall AI landscape was fragmented, ​inaccessible, and often intimidating to the average ​internet user. Our brand identity needed to address ​these misgivings, positioning Magic Studio as ​seamlessly integrated, trustworthy, and ​transformative for creative work.

Product Worlds

Each Magic Studio product had its own distinct ​identity with a custom gradient and a unique mix of ​iconography, photography, and graphics.

Over 250 creative assets

We created and released over 250 creative assets, and ​over 3000 localised assets, including newspaper print ​ads, audio ads, multiple strategically billboards ​including 2 in 3D, digital banners, organic and paid ​social, editorial, landing pages, email, and a hype reel.

The Hype Reel

The hype reel introduced all of the new Magic Studio ​tools and features - and got our community excited ​and engaged in the launch.

Magic Studio was our most successful, fully integrated ​launch yet.
